Heidi is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed and Board Certified Clinical Professional Art Therapist. She is a Maryland Board-approved supervisor for counselors and art therapists. Heidi has 20+ years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings, including school based programs, inpatient psychiatric, and private practice. Heidi is also trained in EMDR (Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Heidi uses a warm, non-judgmental approach to incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, art therapy, mindfulness, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation into her practice to meet the needs of her clients. She believes in the transformative potential of the therapeutic process to integrate mind and body when working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
